Cathedral Chapel Wedding | Micah + Teresa

The room is silent as she makes her way up the aisle. His back is turned, but he knows she’s coming. Her dress gets fluffed out, the veil lays perfectly, the lighting is magical, but we all know that he won’t see any of that. He’s going to see her face. Her beauty. Love reflecting back. He quickly turned and beamed at his bride before pulling her into an embrace. The relief of knowing that all of the waiting, all of the planning, all of the anticipation was finally coming to an end swelled up with the excitement of knowing their lives were truly just beginning. But what hit me most as we stood inside Cathedral Chapel for their first look, was that the first thing Micah did was to pray. Before he truly took in all of Teresa’s beauty, he thanked God and prayed over their union.

Micah and Teresa’s faith was evident in an earnest and sincere way from the first conversation we had together. We spent more time trading testimonies during our zoom call than we did discussing the wedding. They made it a priority to surround themselves with friends, family, and vendors who shared in their faith. My favorite moment of the whole day was when they took time during their ceremony for a moment of true worship. The whole room rang out with “Goodness of God” and I had tears in my eyes as I reflected on how beautiful it was to witness a marriage starting this way.

Between the stunningly deep florals from The Blush Dahlia, the expert planning and coordination from Lauren, the soft light of a morning Cathedral Chapel wedding, and the joy filled bride and groom (and their families) – this wedding is one that was as pretty on the eyes as it is filling for the heart.

Thank you, Micah and Teresa, for reminding us all what faith, hope, and love truly look like.
