Iconic Fall Arkansas Wedding | Anna & Preston

When I think of what an iconic fall Arkansas wedding would look like, I think emerald greens, crimson reds, burnt oranges, and a venue that showcases all of the natural beauty Arkansas has to offer. Well the Burt wedding had all of that and more. With a mid-day ceremony inside the Mildred B Cooper Chapel and an evening reception outside on Anna’s family’s land – the beauty of fall in Arkansas was on full display.

The Couple

Anna Cunningham and Preston Burt are two pieces of a puzzle that fit snuggly together. They share a joy for adventuring, an appreciation for the people around them, and most importantly an understanding that they are better together because of each other.

The Moment

Nothing sets a couple apart quite like how they treat others. Anna and Preston took a moment to give a speech specifically designed to thank the vendors and people involved in making their day remarkable. Called out by name and thanked from the heart. They also made sure to catch every guest they could after the send-off for a quick photo and a “thank you for coming.”

The Timeline

This wedding had one of the more unique timelines, that I actually don’t offer often. Anna and Preston’s ceremony took place mid-day inside Cooper Chapel where we then did family and bridal party photos before couple’s portraits. Once we wrapped up portraits we took a couple hour break before the reception began around dinner time at Anna’s family land in Decatur. I don’t typically allow breaks in my coverage time, but our house was located between the ceremony and reception sites so Cory and I were able to easily go home and rest between events.

The reception kicked off with special dances and then we rolled right into dinner. Once dinner was finished the party really started as the dance floor opened up. The night ended with a display of fireworks filling the sky and another round of thank you’s as Anna & Preston caught their guests as they walked across the lawn to their cars.
