Walking into 21C Museum Hotel Bentonville’s event space for Jessica and Greg’s wedding was a jaw-dropping experience. I had asked Jessica what her wedding colors were and was confused but intrigued when she told me “all of them.” I didn’t fully understand until I walked in and saw the stunning backdrop Silks-A-Bloom had created for their ceremony space. The brilliant florals added the perfect touch of color to separate Jessica’s white dress from the white walls while not distracting from either.
Ceremony
The ceremony, while still a large gathering, was incredibly intimate. There was no bridal party accompanying Jessica and Greg. Their personalized vows had each other (and myself as well as guests) in tears. Their joy to be together was undeniable and they carried that wedding high with them throughout their portraits. While their guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the patio, we walked over to Compton Gardens and enjoyed the bright spring scenery that well matched their wedding vibes. Jessica and Greg had even hired dog walkers to bring their pups outside the hotel just after the ceremony ended so they could join in some portraits as well!
Reception
And then I walked through the curtains to reach the reception space. I have seen the space multiple times – I’ve seen it bare, I’ve seen it with tables and a dance floor, I’ve even seen it decked out for a fashion show – but I’ve never seen it like this. I don’t really even have words to describe what Vintage Soul Events was able to put together. It felt like walking into a whole other venue, a whole other event. While the ceremony was bright and relatively simply decorated, the reception had a classy, party atmosphere. You walked in and immediately felt the celebration. It was the perfect culmination to the day.
And to make it even better, Jessica had the fun idea to make a “reveal” moment to their guests. After cocktail hour, guests were invited back into the ceremony space where they waited as the sliding wall was opened to reveal Jessica and Greg sharing in their first dance in the center of their reception space. The awe and uniqueness of it was well worth the effort and is something their guests will never forget.
